Kapana Review
Kapana is a designer and manufacturer of prefabricated home modules based in Palm Desert, California. With two sizes of home modules to choose from, 10 feet x 20 feet or 10 feet x 40 feet, and optional add-ons for bathrooms and kitchens, modules from Kapana can be used individually as an ADU or tiny home or buyers can combine multiple units for a custom, modular home design. Additionally, buyers have the option to customize certain finishes such as color and flooring. From a style standpoint, modules from Kapana are modern and futuristic, featuring floor to ceiling windows and exposed metallic frames.
From a logistics standpoint, either Kapana or a member of their nationwide network of retailers and builders can complete necessary site work and assist in securing permits for your project. Additionally, because the homes are shipped as completed modules, once the modules arrive on site, there is a limited amount of work that needs to take place to finish the homes. Additionally, Kapana can design and manufacture models with green features such as solar panels or when requested, off-grid units.
Strengths:
Can combine multiple modules to create fully-custom home designs
Offer green building features and can work on off-grid projects
Reasons they might not be for you:
You are looking for a more traditional home design
Their modules are outside of your price range
