Hybrid is a designer and builder of modular homes based in Seattle, Washington. While most of their builds are fully custom, they sell 3 off-the-shelf prefab townhomes. Their homes feature a variety of styles, from more traditional townhouses to modern designs. Their prefab builds often feature vertical metal siding, patio space, glass doors, and lots of natural light. As a green company, Hybrid’s prefab process not only greatly reduces waste, as is typically the case with the prefab home building process, but Hybrid also incorporates sustainable materials and green features like solar paneling into their home designs.

Hybrid works closely with buyers during the design phase, utilizing sketches, models, renderings, and even virtual reality machines to turn the buyer's vision into detailed building plans. This design process is billed at 6-10% of the final construction costs, depending on the scope of the project. Finished designs are passed on to a third-party manufacturer where all modules are prefabricated and then shipped to the build site. For buyers in the Seattle area, Hybrid’s contracting offshoot “Hybrid Assembly” can serve as the general contractor, building the home and completing any site work. Otherwise, Hybrid will serve as the construction manager for a third-party builder.
