Kubed Living is a prefab container home company based in Sherman Oaks, California. They sell a range of shipping container-based products including ADUs, single-family homes, multi-unit buildings, and studios. They offer a series of pre-designed container homes that can be personalized to individuals’ tastes or used as inspiration for a fully-custom shipping container home.

Kubed Living’s residential units come in seven different styles which range in size from 240 square feet to 960 square feet. Although their designs typically feature traditional corrugated metal exteriors, their homes also include add-ons and finishes that provide an upscale, modern look. Their multi-family structures can be arranged to create apartment complexes or hotels and resorts. Their commercial structures can be used as prefabricated bars, cafes, or offices. Like their residential designs, their multi-family and commercial spaces also draw on modern design influences.

For projects based in California, Arizona, and Nevada, Kubed Living is able to offer turn-key project coordination services. Kubed Living does not handle the manufacturing or site work themselves, rather, they are able to coordinate and oversee projects as they are completed by their network of local building and manufacturing partners. This means that they will oversee projects in all stages of work including design, permitting, manufacturing, site preparation, and installation. For projects outside of that area, they still offer project management services, however, local work will be completed by a general contractor that is not necessarily a part of the builder network. This means that while they will not complete site work themselves, they can still help find a local builder, oversee the project, and coordinate between manufacturers and contractors as the project progresses. 

While each project is unique, especially on custom projects, the full build process can take about 9 months and varies according to the building permits of the area in which the home is built. Depending on client preferences and local building regulations, Kubed Living can ship homes between 50% - 90% complete.
