Liv-Connected Review

Liv-Connected is a prefab home builder based in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. They specialize in both smaller square footage homes (up to 1,200 square feet) and tiny homes on wheels (up to 36’ in length). For their line of permanent modular homes, branded as their Conexus floor plans, Liv-Connected acts as both the home designer and builder. For their tiny homes on wheels, their Via series, Liv-Connected is the home designer and they partner with Atomic Homes for manufacturing.

Stylistically, Liv-Connected’s houses feature modern designs, with an almost Scandinavian design influence. This is true for both their Conexus and Via series of homes. However, for their smaller, tiny homes on wheels, buyers can choose from one of three exterior finish options: standard, modern, or farmhouse. Their Conexus line of homes ranges from 500 - 1,205 square feet, with models ranging from 1-3 bedrooms. Their Via series is made up of tiny homes ranging in length from 24 - 36 feet, with options for either standard trailers, goosenecks, or a sleeping loft.

While Liv-Connected does not yet offer full home customization, buyers can rearrange their home’s layout. Because they build with a unique Clic (Component Linked Construction) System, buyers can arrange their Conexus model layout to their exact needs, similar to a Lego model. Additionally, individuals can upgrade many components of their home. This includes appliance upgrades, smart home technology, health monitoring technology like sleep detection and fall detection devices, and green features like solar panels and solar batteries. Liv-Connected

Logistically, Liv-Connected acts as a design-build firm, meaning that a local contractor is needed to prepare the build site. In the case of their Conexus home series, this means a GC is necessary for site preparations, laying a foundation, and home installation. For their tiny homes on wheels, buyers need a flat, level spot for their home (like a gravel pad) and standard RV hook-ups for utilities and water.

Strengths:

  • Their permanent homes arrive on site in a highly finished state and can even be ordered fully furnished

  • Can include unique technology such as smart home upgrades or medical monitoring features

  • Offer both permanent homes and tiny homes on wheels

Reasons they might not be for you:

  • You are looking for the ability to customize your home’s floor plan beyond their CLiC system’s capabilities

  • You are looking for a home larger than 1,200 square feet
