Minimal Living Concepts Review
Minimal Living Concepts is an Arizona-based designer and builder of modern ADUs and smaller square-footage residential units. While Minimal Living Concepts is a newer company (founded in January of 2021), they are a re-branded version of Den Arizona, featuring new product offerings and processes. Unlike its predecessor, Minimal Living Concepts specializes in site-built construction and does not employ prefab building techniques.
Minimal Living Concepts’ product offerings include 4 pre-designed ADUs and smaller homes, which range in size from 322 square foot studios to 1,178 square foot units with 2 bedrooms. All of their designs feature modern architecture and buyers are able to choose from several exterior and interior finish options. All of Minimal Living Concepts’ units come standard with solid surface countertops, appliance packages, cabinetry, and LED lighting. Additionally, buyers looking for unique designs can opt to personalize their unit with one of two designs from local designer, Kaitlyn Wolfe. This package includes quartzite siding, quartz countertops, and higher-end finishes.
From a process standpoint, buyers begin by meeting with the Minimal Living Concepts team and arranging a site visit. From there, they will draft a final project proposal, which includes an exact cost estimate. Once buyers sign the contract Minimal Living Concepts begins any necessary site tests (like soil testing or land surveying) and filing all construction permits. Once approved for permitting, on-site construction can begin and typically takes 4 months to complete. From start to finish, the entire process, including permitting, typically takes around 7 months to complete. For buyers outside of Minimal Living Concepts’ turn-key radius, but still within Arizona, they are able to plan and permit projects as well as deliver all construction materials. A local contractor is needed, however, to complete all site preparations and on-site construction.
