Design Overview
Their models feature a modern look, with large windows, standing seam metal roofs, plus a mix of lap, board-n-batten smooth siding and architectural use of wood.Inside, their tiny homes have luxury vinyl plank floors, custom cabinetry, and roomy loft space. They manufacture modular tiny homes, RV park model tiny homes models, and tiny homes on wheels (THOW). However, they are not accepting orders for their THOW models currently and are focusing on meeting rising demand for their modular and ADU tiny homes. They will also soon release their Mustard Seed PODs which are a range of smaller, lower cost solutions for premium, modular tiny houses.
Build Process & Timeline
All of their models can be used off the grid. It is worth noting though, that their park model and modular tiny homes are meant for stationary use and can only be moved and installed by their professional team.
Mustard Seed’s larger tiny homes can be set on permanent or semi-permanent foundations. This is usually done with concrete piers, but a foundation wall or foundation wall/pier combination can also be used. Typically, Mustard Seed’s homes can be designed and ready to build in about 4-10 weeks with the actual build process taking an additional 8-10 weeks. From a logistics standpoint, the tiny
homes are built and assembled in Mustard Seed’s factory. Then transported completely self-contained and plug-n-play to your utilities. Tiny homes from Mustard Seed include standard IRC plumbing, wiring, HVAC, insulation, and construction. Design elements such as fixtures and appliances are standard household size and style.
