NODE is a Seattle-based startup that builds prefab modular housing and currently serves the Pacific Northwest down to northern California.  NODE has three home series: the Madrona series which are small, flexible modules that you can custom-piece together, the Trilium series which are modern, cottage style homes, and The Juniper series, which are larger, two-story family homes.  

NODE’s modular styles makes them highly customizable and sizes range from 165 sqft to 2400 sqft. NODE also serves as a one-stop-shop for customers as they take care or help outsource every part of the building process from design to construction to maintenance and support. Finally, NODE is highly committed to environmental sustainability and all homes are built with the aim of being carbon negative.

Strengths:

• Highly configurable - The module system makes it easy to create a layout customized to you

• Environmentally friendly - Carbon negative homes with optional accessories including solar power, composting toilets, water collection and filtration, and other green options.

Reasons they may not be for you:

• Lack of operating history - NODE has only built a few homes to date

• You’re not in the NorthWest of the U.S. - that’s the only area NODE serves at this time
