Schumacher Homes is a semi-custom home builder that specializes in site-built construction. They operate as a network of 27 different design & build centers throughout the Central and Southern United States. They are a full-service builder and can handle all stages of construction including site preparations, home construction, and interior finishes.

Schumacher Homes currently offers 86 different floor plans that buyers can choose from. These houses range from small, 2 bedroom cottages with 800 square feet of living space to large 5,000+ square foot homes. Each floor plan can be built in a range of architectural styles including Craftsman, Modern, Farmhouse, and Modern Farmhouse. And while buyers can personalize and customize their home, they must select an existing floor plan as a starting point for their project. This means that Schumacher Homes is unable to accommodate fully-custom projects.

To begin a project, buyers can come to Schumacher Homes with their own lot or can work with the Schumacher Homes team to identify potential build locations. When securing financing, buyers can work with their affiliate partner, Schumacher Mortgage to file for a range of loan options including conventional loans, VA loans, FHA loans, and jumbo loans. Once land has been acquired and financing has been approved, buyers can begin the planning process. This includes selecting and modifying a floor plan to meet one’s needs and selecting design elements like flooring, cabinetry, and color schemes. Typically the design process takes between three to four months. Once the design has been finalized, construction can begin, with all stages of the project being completed by the Schumacher Homes team. From start to finish, the construction phase often takes an additional four to seven months.
