Method Homes Elemental Series Review
Method Homes Elemental Series Review, Cost, Floor Plans, and Photos
Method Homes’ Elemental Series is made up of 8 pre-designed modular home floor plans: Pivot, Shift, Elemental 1, Elemental 2, Elemental 2.1, Elemental 3, Elemental 4, and Elemental 5. While the size and layout of the floor plans vary dramatically, every home in the Elemental series takes on a sleek, modern, boxy style with an energy-efficient design. Homes typically feature large windows, deck space, and flat roofs with overhang. Exteriors often blend wood, metal, and concrete finishes to create a modern look.
Floor plans range from 1,298 - 3,500 square feet. Buyers usually choose from pre-designed interior palette and finish options as well as green upgrades like solar paneling or green roofs. However, Method’s Elemental architectural partners are also willing to work with buyers to craft fully custom designs.
Method Homes Elemental Series Cost
With turn-key project costs in the $239 - $444+ per square foot range, the Elemental Series varies widely in price. Economy of scale makes larger models like the Elemental 5 less expensive on a $ per square foot basis compared to series like Simpatico or Annata.
While the module costs for the Elemental 1 start at $270,000, the stated turn-key cost estimate runs higher than $540,000. Similarly, module costs for the Elemental 3 are just $410,000, while the all-in cost starts at $610,000. While these estimates are all-inclusive, the cost of land, upgrades, and customizations may raise the final project costs. You can find a table with the cost of each home in the Elemental Series below.

Method Homes Elemental Series Floor Plans
The two-story Pivot is probably the most unique design in the Elemental Series. This home turns on its axis, pivoting to create deck space and a covered entry. The rotation makes for a unique modern asymmetric style with overhang since the second story sits at a different angle than the first floor. The floor plan includes 1,643 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.
The Shift features 1,821 square feet of living space with a spread out, open floor plan. The two-story home includes a cantilevered upper module that creates a vestibule between the living space and a separate garage. Deck space, 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms, are all included in this 2-module home.
The Elemental 1 model fits perfectly in narrow lots with its stretched 1,298 square foot floor plan. Window walls create an open, light interior despite the narrow layout. This home includes just 1 story, 1 module, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and popular horizontal wood finish options.
The Elemental 2 includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and window walls. The 1,620 square foot floor plan consists of 3 modules connected to form a single-story home.
The compact Elemental 2.1 model offers 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and 1,483 square feet of living space.
A more modern, vertical model is the Elemental 3. The 1,704 square foot floor plan includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a garage, and a large rooftop deck. This second-story rooftop deck’s overhang gives the design a unique modern look.
The 2,052 square foot Elemental 4 features a modern two-story building with 3-4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a small deck. The fourth bedroom’s wall-to-ceiling windows make it an ideal study, den, or even studio as well.
The final home in the series, the Elemental 5, is a modern two-story floor plan with 2,500-3,500 square feet. The floor plan includes 4-5 bedrooms, 3.5-5 bathrooms, a garage, plus plenty of wall-to-ceiling windows to give the interior a well lit, open look.
