Villa, formerly known as Habitat Homes, is a full-service ADU company based in San Francisco, California. As a full service company, Villa works with interested buyers to select a design, get permit approval, manufacture the ADU, prepare the site, and install and finish the ADU. Villa offers 10 different pre-designed floor plans which all feature modern, ranch designs, and range in size from 440 to 1,200 square feet. It is worth noting that Villa does not offer a custom design service, meaning that buyers are limited to making design personalization and in some cases, can work with Villa for changes like adding a sliding glass door or removing a window. This does have the advantage however of allowing Villa to provide buyers with competitive prices for ADUs in California, quicker production times, and transparent, turn-key budgets. On their website, Villa lists turn-key starting prices for their ADUs with their smallest unit starting at $199,000 and their largest unit starting at $309,000. However, an increased level of site-work, design modifications and upgrades such as a built in A/C system will result in higher final costs.
Villa homes, like their predecessor Habitat Homes, handles all design, permitting, approval, building, delivery, and installation on their projects. ADUs are delivered in a highly completed state, leaving very little work to be done before they are move-in ready. On average, the entire build process takes about 6 months.
