Capstone Homes Review
Capstone Homes is a site built home builder and residential developer based in Lewes, Delaware. While they specialize in single family residential homes, they typically work with buyers in one of three ways.
First, they sell move-in ready homes, including land, that are often part of their completed communities. These homes are often based on their current pre-designed home plans. Second, buyers can work with the Capstone team to build a semi-custom home as part of one of their community developments. Currently, Capstone Homes has vacancies in 7 locations across Southern Delaware. In this situation, buyers select their desired lot & one of the permitted home styles for the community. Depending on the project, buyers can make slight modifications to the floor plan and also personalize interior finishes to their liking. Lastly, Capstone Homes offers buyers the option to build a Capstone designed home on their own lot.
In the case of working with Capstone’s “Build on Your Lot” program, buyers start by selecting one of their 15 pre-designed floor plans. Their current designs include Cottage, Cape, Colonial, and Modern Farmhouse architecture. When selecting a home, buyers have the option to personalize elements of their home design, including adding a second story to their home or modifying the interior finishes. It is worth noting though, that Capstone Homes does not work on one-off custom home plans. Once buyers select a floor plan and finalize their home’s design, construction can begin and is fully completed (or in the case of some sub-trades) or supervised by the Capstone team.
